Happy Birthday Day

Yes we celebrated not one, not two but three birthdays Sue, Janis and Diane, yeah!  that means lots of cake......

Sue decided she need a PINK cake

Diane made banana loaf and Lavender shortbread, while Janis baked yummy fruit cakes 

What else could you do with that selection other than sit back and enjoy......

Now I know the sun had gone behind a cloud today, but these two seem to think it was cool enough to sit under quilts and hand sew......Phew! must have been hot

Diane has finished her quilt, and these photos really don't do justice to it.  There is lots of hand embroidery, and beautiful quilting.

Louise came to visit, to drum up some more custom for the Alexandra Palace Trip and to let us know of a proposed week-long trip to the Isle of Wight for a sewing retreat.  The suggested dates for 2014 are February and April, so anyone interested make sure you let Louise know.
